TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker - What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It does factor into your decision.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
